It is with deep sorrow and sadness that the medical community remembers an outstanding colleague. On January 12, 2026, Yakov Borisovich Mirkin, a brilliant Russian urologist, pioneering scientist, and director of Riviera Biotech, passed away. Today, February 20, we honor his memory and bow our heads before his great legacy. This is a loss that cannot be replaced: he was a creator whose heart ached for every patient, and whose mind always sought ways to overcome human suffering.
